What a pleasure it was for my wife and I to stay at the Urban Beach. The place had a real buzz but still felt relaxed, the room was stylish but in a subtle way, the staff made us feel important without the usual fawning and the food was exceptional without being too fussy. Although we only stayed two days, the place felt like home and made a couple of forty - somethings feel like they were the right side of 30! Don't know how you do it but if you could bottle it, you'd be quids in! Keep up the good work and we look forward to returning to the Urban Beach in the near future.

Great hotel! Our room was excellent - it was very clean, tidy and decorated beautifully. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The whole place had a very funky feel and the bar and restaurant downstairs had a great atmosphere. The breakfast that they served in the morning was delicious! All in all a great place that I would recommend very highly!!

For us this hotel ticks all the right boxes. We spent the night here around 18 months ago when the refurbishment had only begun and have been looking forward to returning. We were not disappointed. The team here have achieved a great mix of quality & comfort, having stayed in many hotels this brings together all of the quality without any of the pretentiousness that so often accompanies quality.
The food is superb, so much so, had we not booked a show, I doubt we would have left the building. The staff are genuinely happy to help you, not a false smile in sight. The website gives a great insight into the rooms. Without doubt we will return.

We were made to feel really welcome and stayed in room number 1 which was lovely. Very clean and spacious with a very powerful shower! Food and drink here is fab and we ate our evening meals here too. Nice wine list and you must try the bitten apple cocktail - its to die for! Staff very attentive and friendly - the minute we arrived we instantly relaxed - the whole place literally was "our cup of tea" and we were so pleased we'd booked to stay at the Urban Beach. Had a lovely weekend - would definitely recommend this place and would love to go back.

The staff actually are the jewel in the crown for the Urban Beach and I can only take my hat off to the owners/managers for their recruitment selections. The hotel is run by young people who comprehend customer service and do everything to make guests feel that they are the most important people in the world. That knowledge and attitude is rarely seen.

It's not often that you find anywhere, where you can just relax immediately but these guys have done it. Amazing rooms, equal to most of the 4 and 5 stars I have stayed in in London, but with a homely feel. The restaurant offers excellent food at great prices. No complaints at all and I can confidently say that when I go back to Bournemouth this will be my first choice of hotel every time.

A lovely boutique hotel, Room 3 (the REALLY posh one), was exquisite. The huge 6ft bed was just soooo comfy. The lovely large black chandelier was admired by both of us. The bath and shower were both exceptional and all in all the room was the best I think either of us have ever stayed in. The cocktails were fab. Perfect for funky laid back people (like us!). We will definitely be back in the summer

What can I say! Just wonderful! Superb, friendly staff, who couldn't do enough for us. Sumptuous, luxurious bedroom, complete with huge comfy bed and large, white fluffy towels. The best breakfast I've ever eaten (especially the freshly-baked croissants!) and a great menu to choose from, for all other food. Mark, his wife Fee and every member of staff made us both very welcome at their great hotel and it won't be long before we go back again. Thank you all.

A HUGE thank you for such a lovely stay last weekend. You and your staff were fabulous, very hospitable and helpful, nothing seemed to be too much to ask and we felt incredibly welcome. WOW, what can we say - the urban beach is the most professionally run yet laid back hotel we have ever stayed in. The room was pure luxury, the food superb and we sampled breakfast, snacks during the rugby and dinner. The staff remembered our names and were friendly and approachable, yet chilled and cool.   We are looking for any excuse to come back as it was perfect.

Thank you to you and your team, for a fabulous couple of days break.  I always bemoan the fact that when we pay to stay somewhere I want it to be at least as nice as our home, and preferably much nicer, which unfortunately usually leads to disappointment!. But at last we have found somewhere that meets my exacting criteria!  It was a real treat to find such an unusually vibrant hotel, and our room No. 2) was perfect in every way with a real wow factor. Clearly a great deal of thought and care has gone into your entire set up. Your staff are all a credit to you too. We had great fun, the live music on Fri was very enjoyable, especially sitting on the deck with an impressively large glass of wine – there was nothing we would have changed - already planning to return soon.

This hotel is a gem, a completely unexpected joy! Our room was apparently the smallest in the hotel but it far exceeded expectations being so beautifully decorated and the shower was amazing, I could have spent my whole time in there! Thank you for the welcoming atmosphere, delicious breakfast and bucket sized glasses of wine Urban Beach. I'd very highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

A truly excellent hotel.  As a business traveler, I wasn't initially sure if I was the target audience for this hotel, however there were several other business travelers who had discovered this gem of a hotel. Perfect for both business or leisure travel. My room was large, very clean and modern. The bathroom was obviously new and beautifully fitted out. The breakfast was also excellent. It was also only a short walk to the beach (~500M) which was great for a morning run.

The place is excellent, the decor, the vibe, and the decked drinking area outside was my favorite .... the food was good as well. The owner greeted me with a hand shake, which was refreshing. I stay in hotels a lot on business, normally i dread it, but to be honest i would have stayed another night if iI could. My room was very clean, DVD player and flat screen in the room, egyptian cotton linen, and soft quality towels. Don't bother with your travel inns etc, stay in places like this instead, so much better. Would def stay there again.

Staying at The Urban Beach you become a small part of the Urban experience. The staff are lovely - maybe Mark pumps happy gas through the building - smiles from breakfast to midnight. The bar/meal menu was a highlight - good prices, well sourced ingredients.

I was looking for a Bournemouth Hotel that wasn't all chintz and flowers and lace, for a romantic break. Thank goodness for the Urban Beach Hotel. This hotel is modern, but sumptuous and comfortable and just, well perfect really. I'm an early 30's marketing professional and chose this place for somewhere to really suit me, but I would find it hard for anyone of any age or background to not enjoy the fabulous service and smiles, the friendly family atmosphere, the fabulous food (my partner is a big eater and he loved his breakfast), the beautifully decorated rooms, and the lovely relaxing outside area.

Just a quick note to thank you and your team for an enjoyable stay at the Urban Beach Hotel. I love the whole concept and the style of the rooms etc etc. It was a very relaxing experience even though it was work, not a holiday!! I thought the branding on all your crockery was a great idea and loved the extra touches in the room (chocolates, DVD player/flatscreen tv, delicious smelling bath oils etc) and the flowers in the breakfast room were refreshing, contemporary - glad to see there were no cheesy artificial/silk roses!! Also…the food we had in the evening was delicious! So many hotels can be disappointing for one reason or another, but I couldn't find a single negative!

I stay in hotels all week every week, all across Europe. The Urban Beach Hotel is undoubtedly the best I have stayed in. Absolutely beautifully decorated, so much so that I am still trying to track down a chandelier from the room I stayed in for my own house. The service was wonderful, everyone was extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to help. I will certainly be staying there again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.

I checked in late and checked out early which was disappointing. Mark the owner was very friendly, helpful and informative.  Room was exceptionally clean and modern which would put a few of the big name hotels to shame.  Next time I stay, I will make sure I have more time to enjoy the relaxing Bournemouth atmosphere that is found at the Urban Beach Hotel.

The room was beautifully decorated in a contemporary style & so comfortable, the bathroom was a spotless dream. The whole place has a great feel, unstuffy & friendly. I loved outdoor decked area leading off the bar. The staff were really helpful, it was a real pleasure to stay. Breakfast was great too.

Comfortable room, lush crisp white sheets and towels soooo fluffy I couldn't wait to take a bath! Husband opted for shower and reports equally enjoyable.  Staff so friendly you could hug 'em /invite them round to meet your folks ...Breakfast so entirely delicious am enjoying writing this so I can think about it again ... continental or cooked included in your stay so wake up hungry ... you'd be a fool to miss it.

It's a great find, the rooms are lush, the service is great, Mark and the team are welcoming and chatty but not in your face. The breakfast was lovely and served till 12 which is brilliant if you've got a bit of a sore head!! And the bed was so comfy it'll make you late to check out!!
